Exports from BiH in the first quarter of this year amounted to 5 billion and 902 million KM, and imports amounted to eight billion and 670 million KM, which represents the coverage of imports by exports of 68.1 percent, according to data from the Agency for Statistics of BiH.
Exports from BiH in the first four months of this year increased by 41.1 percent compared to the first quarter of last year, while imports increased by 42.1 percent.
The foreign trade deficit from January to April amounted to 2 billion and 468 million KM.
Exports to CEFTA countries amounted to 1.99 million KM, which is 65.5 percent more than in the same period in 2021, while imports amounted to 1 billion 74 million KM, which is 41.1 percent more than in the same period last year.
The coverage of imports by exports to CEFTA countries was 102.3 percent.
Exports to EU countries amounted to four billion and 357 million KM, which is 40.3 percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to four billion and 886 million KM, which is 31.6 percent more than in the first quarter of last year.
The coverage of imports by exports to EU countries amounted to 89.2%, according to a report by the BiH Statistics Agency.
