Minister for Education of Sarajevo Canton Naida Hota-Muminović announced today that he has started enrolling in secondary schools, and about 4,100 students are choosing the desired schools by June 26.
Online enrollment in the first grade of secondary school was one of the reasons for today's press conference of the Ministry of Education of the Sarajevo Canton, which was held in the premises of the University Tele-Informatics Center.
The conference also presented information related to the implementation of the Competition for enrollment of students in the first grade of secondary schools in the canton in the school year 2023/2024, the Public Call for scholarships to talented students who are enrolled in the first grade of secondary school in public institutions of sarajevo canton in the upcoming school year, as well as the Public Call for scholarships for deficient professions to students enrolled in the first, second and third grade of secondary vocational schools in public institutions in the area of KS in the aforementioned school year.
The present media representatives were addressed by the relevant Minister Naida Hota-Muminović and the Director of the University Teleinformatics Center (UTIC) prof. dr. Elmedin Selmanović, and answered all the questions asked.
"This morning, the enrollment in secondary schools through the EMIS system began. By June 26, students will choose the desired schools. This year we also relied on the University Tele-INFORMATICS Center, which this year again provides us with help and support so that this year's enrollment also goes according to plan and without any problems", said, among other things, the Minister of Education of sarajevo canton Naida Hota – Muminović on this occasion.
She added that about 4,100 students are enrolling in high school this year.
Director Selmanović expressed his satisfaction at the beginning of his address because for many years the University of Sarajevo and the University Tele-Informatics Center (UTIC) have been partners of the Ministry of Education of Sarajevo Canton in the process of digitization of schools.
"The online enrollment module we presented today is just one of many steps towards digitalization, along with electronic diaries, external graduation and other similar activities. These processes have a positive effect on the entire canton, and we are proud to be leaders in the digitalization of the public sector," said Elmedin Selmanović, director of the University Tele-Informatics Center.
