Numerous reactions to yesterday's session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska and the passed law on non-application of decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the territory of that Entity even today. BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović again called on the international community to react. Condemnations come from both the U.S. and British embassies, while the Russian embassy considers the enacted law logical.
Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency member Denis Bećirović said he was leaving seven days for the international community, especially witnesses of the Dayton Peace Agreement, "to stop the killing of the Dayton Peace Agreement."
DENIS BEĆIROVIĆ, Member of the Presidency of BiH
"As a member of the Presidency of BiH, I leave seven days to the international community, and especially to the witnesses of the Dayton Peace Agreement, to stop the killing of the Dayton Peace Agreement. Yesterday's decision by the NSRS was the most severe blow to the Agreement. Everyone must be aware of this in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the international community."
The Croatian National Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina also spoke out, which, as they say, advocates the urgent fulfillment of all 14 key priorities that include the reform of the electoral legislation and the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including resolving the issues of international judges and implementing all its decisions. HNS BiH calls for the immediate appointment of missing judges in the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
U.S. EMBASSY IN BIH
"The Republika Srpska National Assembly carried out a reckless attack on the Dayton Peace Agreement and established the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina," the U.S. Embassy said on its official Twitter account late last night after the end of special sessions of the entity's parliament.
To resent that there are no judges from the RS in the Constitutional Court of BiH, and at the same time not to appoint them is hypocritical, the US Embassy said, adding that in this context, Dodik's activities are both against the RS and against the Serbs, and the leadership of the National Assembly is co-responsible, because it enabled unconstitutional and anti-Dayton attacks by Dodik on the Constitutional Court of BiH.
Embassy of Great Britain in BiH
"At yesterday's session of the Rs National Assembly, an illegal and reckless decision was supported, which has no legal basis in BiH. The Dayton Peace Agreement and the BiH Constitution clearly establish the primacy of the Constitution and the Constitutional Court of BiH, according to the Embassy of Great Britain.
They add that the ruling coalition in RS cannot unilaterally rewrite the fundamental foundations of the country. The elected representatives of the RS have chosen to prevent citizens in the RS from having their vote in the BiH Constitutional Court. This is not a wise move and can only benefit those who play political games at the expense of human lives," the British Embassy in BiH said.
The Embassy of the Russian Federation in BiH also issued a statement, considering the decision of the RS National Assembly to adopt the law on non-application of the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH in that entity as logical and extorted. It is also considered the basis for the adoption of a new law on the Constitutional Court of BiH in which there would be no more foreign judges.
